tell me more…

  • Food, Fun and Dancing for a Cause!

There will be a pasta dinner, music and DJ, a cash bar, a door prize, opportunities to donate to organizations working hard on food insecurity and good times all around.

  • 1.Spices are an important part of nutritional security and ethically sourced spices touch on all sorts of food systems issues so highlighting local, amazing spice blenders is a great way to broach those discussions. Conversation starter anyone?

    3. Spices are a great way to jazz up local produce especially coming into the winter season.

We will have some hot sauces and spices from our favorite local businesses sprinkled throughout the night - think door prizes, cocktails and maybe even in the pasta.

  • By the book, food insecurity means: the condition of not having access to sufficient food, or food of an adequate quality, to meet one's basic needs.

Which basically means, you don’t know where your next meal is coming from. It was bad at the start of COVID but it has gotten even worse with pantries not being able to access enough food on a weekly basis, while the need is increasing at the same time.

  • We want a better food system and we want to make sure our neighbors and friends have the food they need. This party supports food insecurity with the net proceeds going to organizations who are changing the food system in 3 key ways:

1.Emergency Food Relief - Feeding people now

    2. Incremental Change - Addressing equitable access to local food and fresh produce (aka nutritional security)

    3. Systemic Change - working on long-term policy changes that move us closer to the big changes we want to see in the food system

This event will be supporting Coastal Foodshed and the Southcoast Food Policy Council
