tell me more…

  • Food, Fun and Dancing for a Cause!

There will be light local bites, music and DJ, a cash bar, a door prize and good times all around.

  • By the book, food insecurity means: the condition of not having access to sufficient food, or food of an adequate quality, to meet one's basic needs.

Which basically means, you don’t know where your next meal is coming from. It was bad at the start of COVID but it has gotten even worse with pantries not being able to access enough food on a weekly basis, while the need is increasing at the same time.

  • 1.Spices are an important part of nutritional security and ethically sourced spices touch on all sorts of food systems issues so highlighting local, amazing spice blenders is a great way to broach those discussions. Conversation starter anyone?

    3. Spices are a great way to jazz up local produce especially coming into the winter season.

We will have some hot sauces and spices from our favorite local businesses sprinkled throughout the night - think door prizes, cocktails and more.

  • You will notice there are different ticket prices all based around food security info. We just wanted to get you ready for the next trivia night you end up at….

  • Yes indeed.
We want a better food system and we want to make sure our neighbors and friends have the food they need. This party supports food insecurity with the net proceeds going to organizations who are changing the food system in 3 key ways:

1.Emergency Food Relief - Feeding people now

    2. Incremental Change - Addressing equitable access to local food and fresh produce (aka nutritional security)

    3. Systemic Change - working on long-term policy changes that move us closer to the big changes we want to see in the food system

This event will be supporting the Nourishing Nantucket Program, a joint effort of Nantucket Resource Partnership and Pip & Anchor.

Nantucket Resource Partnership

NRP supports the well-being of Nantucket through the coordination of community, service, and digital solutions. NRP was formed in January 2022 by a group of concerned citizens who believe that social services could be improved through systemic change and increased coordination.

Nourishing Nantucket

A joint effort between Nantucket Resource Partnership and Pip & Anchor to ensure equitable access to fresh, local produce. Through the generous support of Pip & Anchor customers, partners and through grants, 80 families/week receive boxes filled with fresh, local produce.

Curio Spice Co

Our favorite local (Boston area) spice companies who blends super high-quality, ethically sourced spices and herbs. We have too many favorites to list off so check them out here….

Pip & Anchor

Your go-to grocery and café for all things locally grown and made. Pip & Anchor has put a priority on equitable access to local food from Day 1 with our Send It program which eventually became the Nourishing Nantucket program we have today.
